Anthony and the Johnsons have received critical praise from both the LGBT community and in the mainstream press. Anythony's style is distinctive. I am not sure how to get at just how it is.

While I would certainly grant that Anthony's distinctive style is his own. This video, when viewed after the Arthur Russell video seems to reveal Anthony's indebtedness to Russell.
